September Girl's Night - WICKED
This was an especially exciting Girl's Night. Not only were we going to see the famous Broadway play "Wicked" but it was also Julia's birthday! This night was hosted by Janet and it seemed as though this night would never get here. (exciting events seem to do that!) We decided on the early show at 2pm. We actually had some friends that came along as well, so it was not just the J.U.G.S group this time. We all met up at the Oklahoma City Civic Center Music Hall. I had actually never seen any performance there, and was so anxious to see what it was all about. As soon as we walked in they had a cash bar with signature drinks appropriately named, "Wicked Witch" and "Good Witch". Seeing as though it was only about 2 in the afternoon, and they were adult beverages, I decided against it.

Our seats were way up in the nose-bleed section for sure, but taking in the space took my mind off of that. The show itself was spectacular but more than anything I could not get over how flawless the singing was. There were so many times I thought they had to be lip synching (it may have had to do with the fact that I couldn't detect any facial movement since we were so high up, lol). Anyway, it was fantastic and I LOVED the story. If you're a Wizard of Oz fan you will really appreciate this.
Afterward our whole crew head down to Bricktown in downtown OKC for dinner. We ate at Chelino's Mexican Restaurant. Great food! Since we told our waiter it was my aunt's bday, they surprised her with a birthday song and she got to wear a sombrero! Fun times :) We ended the night a little earlier than usual but what a great night it was.
